Informing him that at Lady Ancram's request he is sending a box of books which she would like to be in his care; reporting on Lady Ancram's health, expressing his wish that the journey will be good for her and hoping they will be in Paris by the middle of April; referring to his proposal to him to establish "a sort of Lloyd's Coffee House for the benefit of travellers & that you have established some general rendezvous in London for all the absentees. A Line however must be drawn to exclude certain descriptions of them for instance such as Arthur O'Connor or Lord Cloncurry who were lately here, or perhaps Col. Despard who I trust however is by this time of that Class of Absentees who would not give us much trouble;" sending their love to Lady Bath.
