Collection consists of notes and research materials prepared for John Steinbeck for his work on the screenplay of Viva Zapata! Steinbeck worked on this screenplay from about 1948 to 1950; the film was produced by Twentieth Century-Fox in 1952. Specific research materials include several interviews and oral histories regarding Emiliano Zapata and the revolution, along with the Spanish-language originals.
