Confirming that twenty-one guns were taken by Commonwealth officer Anthony Archer ("sometyme Captaine of the Paradox Frigott"), under orders from Colonel Overton, from the ship Cooke commanded, the "Thomas of Paton" (or "Thomas of Patenwem"), in Scotland in 1651; saying that he has learned from two individuals, John Taylor and [Archball Griefe?], that the guns were then taken to Tower Wharf; adding that he has examined the guns and can confirm from the numbering and marking that eleven of them are "his owne proper Gunnes" and that ten others may be (the uncertainty deriving from the guns "being tenn yeares out of his Possession and diuers Gunnes brought from Scotland of the same weight or neere.")
