19th-century hard-grained brown morocco over paper boards (30 x 22.3 cm) by James Hayday (stamp on front flyleaf). Marbled paper pastedowns and flyleaves; decorative endbands. Gilt-tooled title on spine.

Inscriptions/Markings:

Hand decoration: Rubricated, lombards and capital strokes.
Modern pencil notations on flyleaves from booksellers and PML. Inscription "A. W54 T. append." (front endleaf 1 verso).
