19th-century full brown gilt- and black-tooled goatskin over boards (29.5 x 21.5 cm.), sewn on 5 supports by Francis Bedford. Vellum pastedowns and fly leaves with an additional plain paper fly leaf at rear; decorative endbands.

Hand decoration: Rubrication not required. Woodcuts mainly uncolored, a few with pale wash. Annotations: Two 16th-century marginal notations (leaves [1]/2r and [1]/8r), washed; notation marking event in 1418 (leaf [4]/2r), abraded and washed.
