Contemporary German blind-tooled half calf over beech boards (20.5 x 14.5 cm), sewn on 3 supports. Paper pastedowns and endleaves, front pastedown is from a 15th/16th-century German manuscript. 1 tie clasp, missing, with 2 holes drilled in the top and bottom boards.

Hand decoration: Rubrication unrealized. Annotations: Minimal marginal notations and NB marks throughout, 17th/18th century. Modern (pre-Morgan) foliation and numeration of the Facetiae.
