Binding:
Contemporary Italian long-stitch binding sewn through a thick paper wrapper, incorporating two exterior parchment guards at sewing stations and covered with blind-tooled brown leather (27.4 x 19 cm). Endpaper made from two sheets of thinner paper wrapped around spine and incorporated into primary sewing. Outermost leaves used as pastedowns, single flyleaves at front and back. Sewing and paper cover visible due to loss of leather at spine. Treated in the Thaw Conservation Center, 2014.
