PML copy with some marginal staining. Leaf [1]/1r with provenace inscription and illuminated initial washed.

Binding: 
18th-century French mottled calf with gilt stamping over paper boards (28 x 22 cm), sewn on 5 supports. Marbled paper pastedowns and fly leaves; plain endbands; sprinkled edges.
Inscriptions/Markings: 

Hand decoration: Northeastern French/Flemish illumianted initial (leaf [1]/1r), red and blue lombards and paragraph marks (C-type), red capital strokes (same in PML 75838.2); some capital strokes like tiny paragraph marks. Headlines with Roman numeral for book number and "pars" cypher. Double-line ink ruling in margins for notes. Annotations: Marginal annotations in a very small, compact hand with line-fillers to complete text block. A few textual corrections (some set in scrolls) and "Nota" cypher.
