Contemporary German blind-tooled pigskin over wooden boards (30 x 20 cm.), sewn on 3 supports. Plain paper pastedowns and manuscript waste as quire guards; plain endbands. 2 clasps. Paper title label on top board and title label and shelf mark labels on spine.

Hand decoration: Rubricated, alternating red and blue lombards, red capital strokes and running headlines. Annotations: No notations in text. Fore edge and bottom edge manuscript title: "Rich 4."
