Early 19th-century red straight-grained morocco, gilt- and blind-tooled, over paper boards (41.5 x 30 cm), sewn on 4 supports. Marbled paper pastedowns and endleaves, with plain paper endleaves; decorative endbands; gilt edges, over marbled edges.
Inscriptions/Markings: 

Hand decoration: Contemporary Italian (Rome?) rubrication, red rubrics, alternating red and blue initials and paragraph marks; primary initials in gold with white vine decoration; white vine border, with empty circular shield in bottom border (leaf [3]/2r). Annotations: No marginal notations in text. Contemporary manuscript alpha-numeric signature, mainly trimmed.
