15th-century German (Augsburg?) blind-tooled calf over wooden (beech) boards (40.5 x 30 cm), sewn on 6 supports from unidentified bindery (stamps include a Basilisk and square rosette, and a banderole with inscription "O mater dei ma"); spine covering missing and sewing supports detached from boards. Plain paper pastedowns. 2 clasps, missing; evidence of chain hasp on top edge of rear board.

Hand decoration: Contemporary rubrication, red initials (where required), red highlighting on woodcut initials, capital strokes, and underlining. Annotations: No marginal notations in text. Manuscript quire signatures (1[us], 2[us], terci[us], etc. at gutter) with folio numbered and catchwords.
