16th-century French gilt-tooled full brown calf over paper boards (14.5 x 10 cm.), sewn on 3 supports; repaired by Duprez Lahey, April 1926. Gilt stamp of Crucifixion on front board, Virgin and Child on rear. Plain paper pastedowns and endleaves; plain endbands; red edges. 2 fore-edge ties missing.
Inscriptions/Markings: 

Hand decoration: Contemporary French rubrication, alternating red and blue initials. Annotations: No marginal notations in text. 17th/18th-century foliation in Hours (leaves b1-e7).
