Binding: 
16th-century German blind-stamped half pigskin over wooden boards (29 x 21.5 cm), sewn on 4 supports; repaired. Roll is dated 1535 just below Lucretia (see EBDB r000301 and Haebler II 9, 4). 2 clasps, wanting. Plain paper pastedowns and flyleaves; plain endbands (modern).
Inscriptions/Markings: 

Hand decoration: No rubrication required. Some woodcuts are hand colored. Annotations: Heavily annotated in German and Latin in margins and final leaves, including medicinal recipes. Additional page of notes added between leaves P2-3. Manuscript note at end of several paragraphs and marginal notations "L. d." Fore-edge title: Herbarius Germanicus.
