Contemporary Augsburg blind-tooled calf over wooden boards (31.6 x 22.4 cm), sewn on 3 supports by the Kreuz frei workshop (also known as Kreuzblumen-Buchbinder, EBDB w000967 and Kyriss 89); repaired by Duprez Lahey. Plain paper pastedowns and flyleaves, 2 contemporary fly leaves at end. One clasp, clasp and catchplate stamped "maria". Modern shelf mark in red paint on top board, "No. 9".
Inscriptions/Markings: 

Hand decoration: Illuminated initial and foliate border in contemporary Augsburg style, with coat-of-arms of Cardinal Peter von Schaumberg, Archbishop of Augsburg (leaf [1]/3r); rubicated, red lombard initials and capital strokes. Annotations: No notations in text. Contemporary manuscript alpha-numeric signatures in bottom center of recto leaves, mostly trimmed.
