Contains astrological tables and over 400 woodcut illustrations including 80 miniatures, depicting the influence of the 12 signs of the zodiac on everyday life; features larger woodcuts of the individual constellations of the zodiac. Ratdolt reused many of the woodblocks from earlier astrological works. Cf. Schreiber, v. 5, pt. 1, p. xxxii.

Binding: 
Contemporary blind- and gold-tooled dark brown calf over wooden boards (24 x 17.5 cm.), sewn on 3 supports, for King Vladislav II, successor to Matthias Corvinus. Plain paper pastedowns and fly leaves; plain endbands; gilt and gauffered edges. 2 clasps, missing. This binding has been attributed to the Corvinus binder and to the "Kanonikus-Wolf-Meister," a workshop in Buda "not otherwise known to have bound for the royal library," see Needham.
Inscriptions/Markings: 

Hand decoration: Rubricated, printed initials highlighted in red, paragraph marks, and capital strokes. Marginal numbering through most of 'Significatio' section. Annotations: No marginal notations in text.
