18th-century French gilt-tooled green morocco over paper boards (27 x 19.5 cm), sewn on 5 supports. Marbled paper pastedowns and fly leaves, with plain paper fly leaves; decorative endbands; all edges gilt.

Hand decoration: Illuminated initial and marginal foliage, Flemish style (leaf [1]/1r); rubricated, alternating red and blue lombards with blue/red penwork decoration and paragraph marks, yellow capital strokes (same in ChL 1598F). Annotations: Nota bene marks.
