Virgin Mary: Annunciation -- Under architectural setting of trefoil arch enclosing cross-surmounted hanging lamp, Virgin Mary nimbed, veiled, seated on cross-surmounted chair, right hand raised, basket of wool in left hand, approached from right by Archangel Gabriel nimbed, right hand extended, cross-staff in left hand, dove of Holy Ghost descending between them; inscription, "How Gabriel announced to Mary" (Ge'ez).
