Archangel Gabriel Bookmark

The Renaissance painting, The Archangel Gabriel by Masolino da Paicale c. 1430, is the inspiration for this bookmark. During this period of time, the artist frequently referenced The Gospel of Luke which relates the stories of the Annunciation, in which the angel Gabriel appears to Zechariah and the Virgin Mary, foretelling the births of John the Baptist and Jesus, respectively.

Made of solid brass with an electro-plated gold finish, the bookmark comes in a recycled plastic sleeve with a provenance card.
