Erased French inscription on fol. 7 shows that manuscript was in France in the 16th century; owned by a German in 1762 (date on flyleaf); John Ruskin (bookplate of); purchased by J. Pierpont Morgan (1837-1913) from Pearson in 1907; J.P. Morgan (1867-1943).
