Item description:

Phoebus devoted his second book to the nature and care of dogs. This miniature begins chapter 25, on making sundry snares and nets. A detail shows the production of cord, the basic material for the nets, on a rope maker's spinning wheel. At the far right dogs, an extremely important part of the hunt, are being fed.
